I would recommend the Sonare series flutes. I have compared the Sonare 7000 series to gemeinhardts and yamaha's of the same price range (around $2000), and the Sonare produces a much deeper tone and notes come out with much more ease. For the price, you are also getting the handcut Powell headjoint.
Just my opinion, as a 4 year flutist. I was also told by my teacher that many people who buy in-line flutes get hand problems.
