Reading a Fingering Chart
Fingering charts help flutists know what fingers to place down to create different pitches. All Flute fingering charts look similar; Here is what ours look like:
Solid cirlces represent keys that are pressed down and hollow circles are keys that are raised. This corresponds with the flute example from the last page:
To play the Middle Octave C You will press down your first finger in you right hand and your pinkey in the left hand.
